Hey all

We're planning an upgrade from 9.1.2 to 9.4.1 and just wanted to check if anyone experienced any issues doing this?

Thx

I am aware that 9.4 using SSO has some issues with Windows Server 2012 (R2). Very difficult to set up and get working even using the Set-Up instructions.

Interesting. That's the setup we will be aiming for. Also migrating from SQL Server 2008 R2 to 2014 SP1. Would you be able to provide any details on the issue(s) and resolution you encountered for SSO?

I recall OT were looking to make MBPM authentication and users and roles directory services based, has that been implemented in 9.4? Looks its time to RTM(s)

Thx

I suspect that SQL Server 2014 is a supported platform, yet.

We couldn't get the SSO to work on the original server. Ended up building out a new server with fresh install and worked it through from there. Still showing signs of being a somewhat intermitted function with users being rejected for no apparent reason at times. The newbie was originally tasked with setting up SSO but he ended up changing all sorts of settings in both MBPM and windows server. Didn't keep records. One of those tasks that causes more problems than it fixes.

You can't do an in place upgrade. You need to uninstall MBPM and then install 9.4.1 and run the db scripts.

SSO setup on 2012 is straight forward and has no real caveats outside of what you see with 2008 r2 with UAC
