Hi All,

I have Business object in Metastorm 9.1 report which returns the result in following manner:

   EventDateCost
Jan-201250
Jan-201220
Feb-201255
Feb-201223

As you can see, the EventDate is ordered in Jan,Feb..... manner..
In designer, In chart, I am using Average function on Cost at Y-Axis..
so for Jan-2012 = 35, Feb-2012 = 39.. values displayed in the chart are correct. But the Order is LOST. It shows in random order as "Feb-2012 Jan-2012 April-2012 March-2012". I am neither applying any sorting in designer based on values.

Please help me in this...

When I modify the query of BO to bring aggreate data there itself in the sorted order. In that case the chart shows correct order as returned by BO.
But I also need other data to display in grid. So these workaround does not help much....

Kindly need your help here...

You need the x axis to be from a date value. I think at the moment it is just text, and it is ordering alphabetically, although the list you show is not, so I am not certain. If it is a date, it will order them in date order.

See the Burn Down reports in our Development solution for an example.

Thanks Jerome,

Yes the X axis is a Text value..as it is the requirement to show in this format and not the date format. So ordering in X axis will not help.

Can we show some "ABC" column values for Y axis and order by other "DATE" column values.

Not sure if this is possible.

Thanks..!

Sorry, I cannot see a way to make that work. If the format allowed entry of a date format, the issue could probably be solved, but it does not.
