Hello all,

We have a new need to implement the following:

Basically, our users want to add a screenshot or print screen to a folder, without the hassle of attaching it as a document. I would think it could be in Rich Text Field, but have no clue if this can be achieved and how can it be done.

Any suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Experimentation seems to show that its possible to paste an image into the RTF field provided by MBPM (Infragistcs under the covers).  We don't advertise that to our end users.  We suggest file attachments, but it looks like the RTF is an option.  (v9.3.2.2 here)

Thank you BMellert,

I do agree that file attachments are a much better and easier approach, though the solution we are trying to implement is very transactional and they need that facility.

I've tried using the Rich Text without no luck, even tried of couple of JScript on the On Form Load and haven't had any luck.

Can you provide more detail on how this may be done. By the way, I'm on 9.4.0.

Greatly appreciated.

We never did anything.  I just grabbed a screen image (Alt-PrtScn) and I was able to paste it into my RTF just like pasting into most things.  We didn't so anything in particular.

(Maybe 9.4 treats RTF differently?  We won't upgrade again until 9.5 is out since its due out end of 1Q16 and its the first that is supposed to officially support Windows 10.)

Hi BMellert,

Thanks once again for your prompt reply. Actually, before posting this question, I had tried it, but had no luck. Based on your last post, I tried the same using Firefox Browser and it worked!

Initially I was using Google Chrome, and also tested on IE 11, but had no luck either. So basically for me, it's just working on Firefox. Seems there are some browser limitations on this control/action, but didn't find anything mentioned on this on the MBPM Known Issues.

Our primary browser is IE11 here and the only one we "officially" support for MBPM at the moment for other reasons, though we don't prevent users from trying to use Chrome/Firefox, but there is some internal "pop up" functionality that won't work on those at this time.
