Authentication for eWeb.dll with Windows Single Sign-on
Created: 16 Mar 2005 Last edited: 06 Mar 2006
The information in this article applies to product:
e-Work 6.1 and later Issue The error "Unrecognised URL" and/or "Failed to refresh form" is generated when a form is refreshed in the web client. The engine logs the following error in the event log : "The following mandatory attribute(s) for the DBC request <eRefillRequest> are missing - FolderID,Form." This occurs only if the user has authenticated using Windows Single Sign-on (SSO). The user does not see this error if they log on manually. Resolution Using Internet Services Manager, enable Integrated Windows authentication (IWA) (or BA if your organisation implements it that way) for the file eWeb.dll. This file is in the 'escripts' virtual directory of the web site where the e-Work web extensions are located. It may be necessary to reboot the server rather than just restart IIS. Because of the extra access checking, configuring this DLL to use authentication may cause a minimal decrease in performance.
