I want to start a process for each row returned in a select statement. The statement may contain up to 1000 records. I have a flag action to begin the process.

What is the optimal way to do this?

I don't know what is the most optimal way, but I would just loop through the result set and call ework.RaiseFlag for each row.

Thanks. It's either that, create a timed action to start each one, or create a script (vbscript or c# exe) to raise the flag from the command line as far as the options I can think of now. I just wanted to get feedback relating to the pros and cons of the different options.

We would pretty much always do it by a loopback conditional action raising a flag. There are significant issues with error handling and suchlike when creating Folders raising flags, as we built a procedure to do everything for us is one simple hit from the data returned by an SQL statement - it even assigns the data to the variables named the sdame as the column headers in the data:
