Guys

I've created a business object which uses a query to execute a stored proc to return some records. The query takes three parameters which have been defined and this is all working ok as I can click refresh under the test tab and get the records back. However for some reason the table fields are not getting listed under the variable names tab which means I cant bind the business object to a grid I want to use it for.

Anyone aware of any reason why the fields wont list under the variable names tab of the business object?

Thanks
Jas

Just wanted to add that I downloaded the Stored_Procedure_Solution from here and that has a grid based on a business object which itself is based on a stored proc (what i'm trying to achieve). Even though I dont have the Northwind db installed when I look in the business object I can see what would presumably be the selected columns / fields from the sp listed under the variable names tab.

I upgrade to 9.1 so not sure if this could be causing the problem?

You could try the 'refresh' button, or if it is not there, just edit the SQL by adding a space. I find the field list sometimes fails to appear as it needs a shove to realise it has changed. The Test does the SQL anew each time.

Think the problem is that the Variable Names tab does not evaluate the parameters I have in my query and so sees an incomplete query.  Clicking Refresh in the Test Tab probably evaluates the parameters so succeeds. This is a bit of a pain. Need to find another eworkaround!
