" No, May 2016 for V7 is now definitely official. It was confirmed to us just before it was announced." Dumb question. Do you know where it was announced?

We were notified by Paul Roth, VP of BPM Solutions, directly since its been a topic (and performance of V7 being faster than V9) lately. That was on 4/3. In that email he indicated "an official letter will go out by the end of the week". I see it has also been posted on the OT Product Support Lifecycle web site: https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll/Open/29854336

Thanks Brian. We contacted our OT partner manager and they confirmed that also. I had seen the Knowledge center Support lifecycle change - but that was the only thing we'd seen. So wanted confirmation from OT before we tell any customers formally.

Have there been any updates on this front? From all the official/unofficial noise around this, it seems like Metastorm is not being killed, but will be allowed to die of natural causes ? (no hot fixes/version upgrades). That's not saying much, when the existing v9 versions are riddled with bugs and features. Is that accurate? PS - on a side note, looks like the community central forum is gone too...and this is the last refuge for real technical discussions on metastorm. The new "forum" on developers.opentext.com is mostly a mess of all opentext product discussions and so far the only BPM tag seems to be Cordys BPM :|

Yeah there is an interesting 'idea' post on developer.opentext.com re the exported content database from the old community.metastorm.com site. Reply from OT is apparently it may be restored somewhere.https://developer.opentext.com/awd/forums/ideas/1129920/content+separation If you have access to the OT knowledge center (https://knowledge.opentext.com) there is also a "forum" of sorts there for MBPM. So not sure which location they will restore the content from community central to. Personally I quite like the tag based format of the developer.opentext.com. So hopefully there!

Thats the most disturbing thing about their "move"....the open-to-public forum is a mess (hopefully they'll fix it) and the knowledge center one is only available to folks with a contract with metastorm. Maybe its a way for them to actively prevent people from using metastorm, and nudge/force them onto cordys :|

Hello guys (and gals) I'm new here. I just wanted to share with you that I have a BPM whitepaper called "How to weather the Metastorm" and I could send you a copy if you are interested. It is a very popular paper so far and I'm confident you will enjoy reading it. Rather than making this message long and complicated I'll put a stop here and answer questions later in case you have any. Have a lovely day Vasileios

I was hoping for/expecting a more metastorm related document, not a sales pitch document for another bpm tool lol...oh well.

OpenText sent a customer advisory confirming that there is a minimum of 5 years left for MBPM with a migration path to Process Suite for those on support. Does anyone have comment on Process Suite and its abilities? I am looking at the Gartner report: http://bpmredux.files.wordpress.com/2012/10/ibpms2012mq.pdf

Process Suite = Cordys, from a BPM point of view anyway - with some added jazz on top with cloud/mobile components ?

From last year's conference, Cordys uses HTML5 as its front end, which more natively supports mobile than what is currently offered by MBPM. Also, release MBPM 9.4 due out around year end is supposed to include "embeddable HTML5 forms", though to what extent that means we'll have to wait and see. There is a 9.5 planned as well I was advised yesterday, but no idea what that may entail. I suspect that won't be until about this time next year at the earliest since 9.4 is due out around year end.
