(sorry for the obscure reference to those who haven't seen 'The Shining')

Been away for a while. I was wondering what the state of Metastorm BPM was. Google has very little to say. It seems like the reports of its demise were not exaggerated?

Any upgrades, new features, anything to save it from a shambling zombie existence?

Its still shambling along.  There have been other minor fixes, the only real updates in their releases, in my opinion, is to integrate more with the their preferred BPM suite and applications.  MBPM seemed like the step child before, now it seems more of the undesired step child now.  Other than internal integration, releases seem to keep up with DB and OS versions.

Their next big release (10.5) isn't slated until the end of 2018.  The biggest thing there seems to be that they will finally update the Teleric controls.  Hopefully up to date for 2018, since the ones still being released in 9.4, and I believe 9.5, are outdated already.

(We haven't bothered upgrading from 9.3.2.2 yet ourselves.  There's been no real incentive to do so.  We have a low priority project to review alternatives, but alas that keeps getting pushed back for one reason or another since MBPM is still working, and supported extended.  I've been watching other products for when this project becomes more of a priority so I have a jump on things.)

Oh ... and welcome back, though your post seems to be more of a "checking in" situation.

Woohoo! Can I start the gushing with thanks for the forum here or would you prefer I held off. :)

We are still on 7.6 with a view of upgrading to 9.5 throughout this year. Support for 7.6 has been decent enough, I've raised a few issues that they haven't seen before and they seem quite happy to continue on and investigate them.

Big picture wise though I'm not sure, the water seems to get pretty murky after v9 and, like others, since v9 support is on going I don't see us making the move to anything new for a while.

Looks like we'll be upgrading within a year.  We need to upgrade our DB and OS, so may as well make it a trifecta and do MBPM as well.  (We won't be able to evaluate, let alone implement, an alternative solution were we to do so timely enough since we've not started doing so.)

And they went from next December ('18) being a "V Next" (to me implying) v10 to being v9.6, though other than that it doesn't sound like any difference in plan.
