Hi
Has anyone seen this Issue with the designer?

When the designer loads, and I have selected the respository tab, the Repository contains two options, the Metastorm BPM Deployment Service and the Administrator's Offline Library Storage.  I am having no problems with the Administrator's Offline Library Storage but cannot seem to connect to the Metastorm BPM Deployment Service, at all (Repository 1.jpg). If I right click on it and select refresh, I get the a login pop up (Repository 2.jpg).

When I open a procedure and attempt to deploy it, I get the a login pop up (Repository 2.jpg). No matter what username and password I put in there, it always seems to fail.

I cannot find any reference to this on this site or anywhere on the web. Has anyone encountered this issue?

FYI, the install is Metastorm 9.1 on Windows 2003 R2 with SQL server 2008 on the same server as the process engine.

I have not seen that. I imagine either your deployment service is not configured correctly in the Designer (check in the options and validate), or the deployment service has stopped.

Hu Jerome

The deployment service seems to be runnng ok.

If I check the deployment section in Options, I can  see the location of the Deployment Service Config form. The contents are below

  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

- <ServiceDirectorConfig Name="Metastorm Deployment Service List">
- <ServiceList Type="Deployment">
- <Service Name="Metastorm BPM Deployment Service" Description="Deployment Service">
- <Transport Type="WCF">
  <Server>net.tcp://SERVER/Deployment</Server>
  </Transport>
  </Service>
- <!--
 <Service Name="Local Deployment Service" Description="Deployment Service on local machine">                           <Transport Type="WCF">                                    <Server>net.tcp://localhost/Deployment</Server>                           </Transport>                  </Service>
  -->
  </ServiceList>
  </ServiceDirectorConfig>

I'm on the verge of trashing this installation and starting again

Is your net.tcp service running?

Yes that process is running.

I have trashed the installation, then reinstalled, but I get exactly the same issue. Every time I attempt to deploy a solution, I get   "Unable to connect to 'Metastorm BPM Deployment Service'. Please check your credentials. "

When I look on the Event Viewer I get this strange message

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Metastorm Process Engine
Event Category: eworkTransaction
Event ID: 11
Date:  6/9/2012
Time:  12:48:22 PM
User:  N/A
Computer: SERVER
Description:
Authentication failed for DCOM connection [ ], username [ework], additional data: Invalid user name or password.

I've tried the database administrator sa account, the native server administrator account. My ework account is also an administrator of the machine. There is no domain, if that is of any help?

You have to use an account set up on the Metastorm system, not an OS account. This account must have the deploy permissions. The default is sysadmin/metastorm.

Hi,

I've replicated my production environment to our development environment and modified the metastorm 9.1 install. Upon changing my url path on the deployment option in the designer I cannot manage to get the url validate and the system message is a s follows "Services File List validation failed". but if I run the url in IE it actually gives me a result. Please assit me in order to get this right
