Is anyone compiling these into a report at any stage - I'm happy to chip in. This is still pre-release though so I'm more interested when the actual release version escapes into the wild before writing a proper review document.

Anything you can add would be good. I too am treating it as a pre-release, but a very welcome one. It's been a while since we had such a chance. I am trying o find time to get an actual text & screenshot report togther, but that takes so much more time than a recoring, I find. I just hope to get some input in befor the general release in Dec. There is a lot I would like to improve such as the number of clicks required to manage selection from lists. I am pleased that the bug count is so much lower, though. working slowly is much better than not working. I have a few crashes, but nothing continuous. The biggest problem is there is so much you can do because of the new architecture, and that gives you a loaded gun at times. I am happily pulling the trigger just to see what happens, of course! So far our customers are very intereseted, I must say!

Yes I think I will have to wait until the December release and set up a virtual test server for this as a few things may have changed before then.

I don't think a great deal will change - it is feature complete now. I believe some features will be added in a slipstream before the point release, so if you want to avoid upgrades I'd wait for that. For me, it is invaluable to see what will come in Dec and in the slipstream. facing it all later found lose me lot of time. For new customers, I'd recommend jumping in as soon as you can. Already I feel a pang of regret when I go back to v7. That visual scripting stuff is really cool. I don't think it has been done as well by anyone else, especially not with the formula editor as well. Oddly enough (Luddite that I am) I am feeling the same way about Windows 7, too, although Vista was awful. I am told I am one of a few hundred million in that, though!

Okay spent December writing data extractions for housing data and January will be adding featues into 4 growing workflows and correcting all the flag calls to our Appointments system in different workflows (if the snow permits). Well meet the other one in a few hundred million I stopped using Vista when the Beta came out, jumped to the RC and then bought a new laptop with Vista and updated that to 64 bit Windows 7 as soon as it was available. I still have a netbook running xp as this is what is in use at work (though this may get Ubuntu'ed), but I don't intend ever using Vista again. LJ.

I just wanted to say thank you Franc for those reg entries, it even fooled my Windows XP install, so I could continue installing Metastorm v9.1.
