I see many, many threads where the main problem is a lack of communication. Often this is caused by a lack experience, and after all, this is where we come to help get that expereince.

In many of these situations, a single example will solve all of those communication problems. If you are having a significant problem, create a test procedure and document what you expect to occur, and what does not occur.

The response you get will almost certainly be much quicker, and much more likely to answer your problem.

I recommend this approach when dealing with the Helpdesk too - it makes their job much easier.

I second ;)

And (with the helpdesk) be sure to add a little script to it.
I start this, click that etc etc.

I was wondering if someone could help me out with something. I am running some statistical data off of our current folders that runs off a timer once a day and updates a SQL table. I had to modify some dates within the Metastorm SQL tables by literally going into the table and modifying the date right there so that data would update properly. So far I am fine except for the fact that because I manually went into the Metastorm SQL table and changed some dates, my timer that reads those dates that I changed does not work/capture my changes to the dates. The only way it works is if I go into the specific folder and perform some sort of action on the folder and then the timer will work and read my changed dates. I could manually go into the folders and perform some action, the only problem is that there are thousands of folders that I need to do this to and it will take me forever. Is there a quick solution to this?

Start a new thread, don't post on this one, or it just gets lost!
