The information in this article applies to product: e-Work 6.x

  • When trying to run a directory extraction, the following error is generated:

                                    Extraction failed to complete:
                                    javax.naming.NamingException: [LDAP: error code 1 - 000020D6: SvcErr: DSID-031006C5, problem 5012 (DIR_ERROR), data 0

  • Verify that the supported version of the Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed. This version is specified in the Supported Environments document. It is available from the Redistributables folder on the e-Work CD.

The version that's installed can be determined by running java -version at a command prompt.

  •                                 Verify that the value for the EWORK_EXTRACTION_JAVAHOME environment variable is correct. This can be found here:
Start --> Settings --> Control Panel --> System --> Advanced --> Environment Variables

Post an example, and we will have a much better idea what the problem is. In about 90% of posts, the problem is one of communication. Examples bridge that gap.
